Chapter 4.0 Making the Band

Finally – it’s my turn, thought Jordan as she blew out the candles on her birthday cake.

She put an ad in the papers straight away, looking for people to form a band with. After many terrible auditions, she finally found the right people.

Marcel Anderson was the drummer. He could be a bit sullen at times but he was great with the drums and a real ladies man, which Jordan knew meant the band would have nos shortage of female fans.

Sammy Bowers, who Jordan had known for a while, was the bassist. A more quiet personality than Marcel, he preferred to stay in the background.

Molly Stark was the keyboardist. When she had first showed up to audition, Jordan worried that perhaps she was a bit too preppy to be in a rock band but Molly showed amazing skill on the keyboard and, to Jordan’s surprise had quite an attitude.

Bad Nectar soon had regular gigs at bars all over town and started generating good press. The local music critics loved Jordan’s unique, clever lyrics and effortlessly sexy style.

It didn’t take long for Jordan and Sammy to start dating. She loved the way he lit up when he performed and he treated her like a princess.

Soon, Sammy was spending all of his free time around at Jordan’s.  They loved just laying in bed together, taking time out to relax the morning after a gig.
