Chapter 1.1 Up Till Now

As soon as I was 18 I moved away from my friends, family and all I knew. I chose Havelock as the town to begin my new life as it’s famous for its cosmopolitan lifestyle and, most important of all its film industry. The town is in a surprisingly rural setting, and as I was born and raised in a very small town I was not comfortable in the huge cities. I needed someplace I could have the best of both worlds.
I moved into a tiny house in the poorer area of town. As soon as I moved in here, I couldn’t wait to get out. I didn’t want to live among the seedy bars and tattoo parlors, I hoped for the more upscale lounges and fashion houses. Though, I knew that, for now, I would have to make do with what little I could afford.  I knew I had talent as an actor, I knew I’d reach my goals someday.

Almost as soon as I moved in I got myself a job at the Film Studios as an extra. The pay was pretty bad at this point, but I had my foot in the door. The only way to go from here was up. For a while I had to do some jobs helping with the production side of things; not really what I was after but, hey, I guess it gave me a good insight into other aspects of the industry I was working in. I didn’t have a car at first so I had to run quite a way from my house to the nearest subway station to get to work.

Life was tough for a while but I eventually got my ‘big break.’ I landed a role in a new tv comedy. I had to dye my hair red for the part but that was no problem. I actually really liked my new look and knew I’d be able to die it back to its natural colour someday.

The best thing was, I was finally able to move out of my crummy home in the poor neighborhood. The place I found was a tiny studio but it had nice furniture, a small pool out the back and was in a nice area. I had found new friends, independence, a great job and nice place to live. I was happy.

It was just after moving into my new place that my relationship with Harvey Middleton began to heat up. He was one of the writers for my show. I’d become friends with him soon after getting the job but had never even dreamt of anything more as he was married with two children.  But he started flirting with me all the time and telling me all about how his marriage was over.  I tried not to let myself fall in love with him but I was powerless to stop it. After months of flirting and the unspoken love between us deepening he came over to my house one night and told me he had left Tamara to be with me. In love as I was, I accepted and he moved into my flat with me that night. Only a few weeks later we were married. Of course, neither of us wanted to ruin our fledging celebrity reputation by having a big public wedding that the public would have viewed as… controversial. Besides, we wouldn’t be able to afford anything like that anyway. So we had a small civil ceremony down at the Town Hall and that was that.

It was a little jumpy with a little confusion thrown in. What did her old house look like? There’s so much left unknown. It’s all about the details but I think you’re on the right track. Work on linking things together instead of leaving it jumping from topic to topic. Good Job though :)

Yea, I know. I wish I could’ve had the first house but I only decided to do a blog after she’d moved into the second house unfortunately. I might have her go back there sometime. Thanks, for reading. I’m gonna go check yours out now. I think it definitely gets better (less jumpy, less left unknown) as it goes on so please, people, don’t give up ;)
